- A terminal degree (PhD, MD, etc.) in a biological, physiological, or health science field is required
- Advanced ABD (or equivalent) will also be considered
- Teaching or mentoring experience at the college/university level is required
- Interest and/or experience in undergraduate student advising is required
- Experience in academia, the life sciences industry, or medicine is preferred
