Job Description Summary | Michigan Technological University, a nationally recognized leader in science and engineering education and research, invites applicants for an Assistant Teaching Professor position in the Department of Kinesiology and Integrative Physiology. Applicants in all fields of Kinesiology will be considered with preference given to candidates who can contribute to our undergraduate and graduate curriculum. This is a non-tenure track, 9-month position. The expected start date is August 14, 2023.
Candidates must have an M.S. degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Sports and Fitness Management, or a closely related field. The successful candidate will be expected to teach both undergraduate and graduate-level courses. Our next colleague will be expected to deliver existing courses, develop new courses that keep pace with changes in the discipline, assist with coursework M.S. degree advising and internship coordination, and contribute to outreach to promote the department and its programs both on campus and within the community. Candidates will engage in departmental, college, and university service; depending upon candidate expertise.
