A Research Associate (Postdoctoral) position in Exocrine Gland Physiology Research is available immediately in the Dry Mouth and Dry Eye Research Laboratory at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Boston, MA.
Applicants with Ph.D. and/or M.D. degrees are sought to investigate the impact of chronic inflammation on lacrimal and salivary gland myoepithelial cells functions that lead to symptoms of dry mouth and dry eye. A variety of cellular and molecular techniques are employed to perform these studies.
The preferred applicant must demonstrate experience with in vivo experimentation, the ability to perform immunostaining, PCR, western blotting, and tissue culture and must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills. The applicant must be able to independently plan and execute research activities including data collection, evaluation and analyses. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience and in accordance with NIH guidelines.
