Duties/Responsibilities:This is a directed research position to carry out research projects of mutual interest to the candidate and the sponsoring faculty. A successful candidate will contribute to authorship on manuscripts, apply for fellowships from relevant agencies (NIH, American Heart Association), and work with and train junior members of the lab.70% - Experimental work in a laboratory setting, including, but not limited to: Breeding and maintaining Cre-responsive mouse lines; Small animal surgery; Small animal ultrasound imaging; Culture of primary cardiac myocytes/tissue culture; Confocal microscopy; Histology,; immunohistochemistry and immunocytochemistry; Flow cytometry/mass cytometry; Signaling Assays15% - Writing manuscripts and fellowship
