Postdoctoral Fellow and/or Junior Research Faculty positions are available immediately in our lab to conduct basic, translational and drug discovery sciences on cardiac hypertrophy, arrhythmia, and failure. Particularly, we are focusing on studies of the molecular genesis, functional roles, and signaling mechanisms of cell calcium, ion channels, reactive oxygen species, inflammatory molecules, and other signaling molecules. Candidates should have good training in molecular and cell biology, physiology, and/or pharmacology. Hands-on experience in transgenic mice, mitochondrial biology, protein biochemistry, and/or genetics are desirable. The successful candidates are expected to possess a strong work-oriented ethic, proficiently make experiment design and preparation beforehand, efficiently complete experiments and data analysis, and promptly present results.
