Position Summary
Anne Arundel Community College (AACC), located near historic Annapolis, Maryland, has served a diverse community for over 60 years through high-quality, affordable, and accessible learning. Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Teach a variety of Anatomy and Physiology courses, including Structure & Function of the Human Body, Human Biology Sequence and Anatomy and Physiology sequence. Course schedules may include an occasional evening, weekend or condensed formats. May involve teaching hybrid sections. • Remain current on effective teaching and learning practices that promote equity and inclusion for underrepresented groups in science • Serve on department and institutional committees, • Accept any special assignments that further the mission of AACC, particularly collaborating with Health Science programs about our curriculum and efforts.
Required Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Biology or closely related field with a strong emphasis on Anatomy or Physiology • Evidence of collaboration and teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 3 years community college teaching experience • Ability to teach a range of courses and adjust expectations and strategies to meet the needs of the course.
