The Department of Molecular Physiology and Biophysics seeks outstanding candidates for tenure-track positions at any rank. Applicants must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree and a robust, hypothesis-driven research program focused at the molecular, cell biological, or organismal level. We are particularly interested in individuals whose research interests and expertise will complement the existing research in our department such as membrane protein biophysics and physiology, membrane trafficking, and signal transduction. Applicants whose research is focused on mechanobiology are particularly encouraged to apply. We are also interested in individuals who have research interests that align with one or more of the major Centers in the Carver College of Medicine such as the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center, Iowa Neuroscience Institute, Francois M. Abboud Cardiovascular Research Center, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Diabetes Research Center.

Education Requirements: Ph.D. in relevant scientific field and/or M.D. degree.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must have a robust, hypothesis-driven research program focused at the molecular, cell biological, or organismal level along with a strong publication record.
Desirable Qualifications: A research program that is focused on mechanobiology.
