Assistant Professor - Crop Physiology
The Department of Agronomy, Horticulture and Plant Science seeks outstanding applicants for a full-time tenure-track assistant professor faculty position crop physiology. The successful candidate will develop a nationally recognized, externally funded, basic and applied research program to improve the abiotic stress tolerance of, and to enhance the resource use efficiency of, agricultural crops in the region.  The incumbent will characterize the physiological traits that warrant improved crop production in by investigating the mechanism of limitations and adaptations, exploitation of genetic diversity, screening, identification of genotype and germplasm enhancement for varietal improvement programs for wheat, oat, corn, soybean, grapevine, and other economically important crops.
