Post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Florida
A post-doctoral fellowship position is available in the Division of Nephrology, Hypertension, and Renal Transplantation at the University of Florida.  The position is with I. David Weiner, M.D., Professor of Medicine and Physiology and Aging, and co-holder of the C. Craig and Audrae Tisher Chair in Nephrology.  Funding is provided from an established NIH R01 grant.  The goal of this research program is to identify the fundamental mechanisms through which kidneys maintain acid-base homeostasis using novel intrarenal signaling mechanisms that are other than extracellular pH.  Genetically modified mouse models, in vitro approaches, protein-protein interaction investigation, computer modelling and artificial intelligence are used routinely in these studies.  The ideal candidate is curious,
